This little concertina book is the fruit of Alice's visit to Charleston Farmhouse during the Summer of 2016, whilst she was researching and drawing for her upcoming solo show at Yorkshire Sculpture Park. It is a tribute to the decorative arts of Bloomsbury, as well as to Charleston itself, and takes its inspiration from the painted furniture, gardens and murals created by Vanessa Bell and Duncan Grant during their time at this rural Bloomsbury outpost during the 1920s and 30s.

Alice's concertina is craft printed, in the tradition of the Omega Workshops, using four colour spot lithography giving a depth and luminosity of colour that digital printing cannot achieve. The format is 'borrowed' from those seaside postcard panoramas that were common in the 1950s and it a thirteen panel double sided concertina that folds into a little book. The perfect gift or souvenir!
